E3D PT100 upgrade kit is specifically designed to allow the use of the E3D PT100 sensor. The kit includes the E3D PT100 Sensor and the E3D PT100 Amplifier board
The E3D PT100 upgrade kit is a combination of the E3D PT100 Sensor and the E3D PT100 Amplifier board. The PT100 Amplifier board is designed to allow you to connect a PT100 sensor on a electronics solution which does not support RTD Sensing.
The board amplifies the signal coming from the PT100 sensor to a voltage which can be read on any analog input pin of most controller boards. The board is designed in such a way that selecting temperature sensor '20' in the well known Marlin firmware will allows you to get correct calibration values.
E3D PT100 sensors are high temperature, high accuracy temperature sensors and suitable for hotends which run up to 400°C. This high temperature is needed for more special materials like Nylon, Polycarbonate, Peek, etc. The name PT100 is derived from the material used in the sensor Platinum (PT) and the 100 ohm resistance at 0°C.
The PT100 sensor will not fit in the standard E3D Hotends, but can be used with E3D V6, Chimera, Lite6, and Kraken by using the PT100 Heater Block available in the spares and extras section.
De E3D PT100 sensor is een 15.5mm lang, 3mm diameter sensor cartridge met een 100mm draad eindigend in een molex connector. Ook megeleverd is een kabel met aan de uiteindes molex en een DuPont connector. De lengte van deze kabel is 800mm.
